Jake is a freelance finishing editor and colorist in Los Angeles. During his time at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit he achieved his Bachelors of Fine Arts degree and got experience on sponsored documentary projects for both Honda and Motorola.
In the summer of 2013 after editing for three years in Michigan, Jake packed up and moved out on the West Coast to live in Los Angeles. He joined production company Portal A as assistant editor and provided graphics as well as finishing services for their digital content. He worked on a variety of commercials with Framestore as a VFX editor helping on projects for clients, Marvel, Bungie, Nissan, Audi, and NFL Films. After spending time in visual effects editorial, he moved to Company 3 where he color assisted and quickly moved up to online editing for episodic television. He is currently providing conform and finishing services as an online editor for episodic television at Technicolor LA.
In his spare time he enjoys doing visual effects for web series’, learning the newest advances in software technology, producing music, and making mixes on Soundcloud. Jake is an avid fan of burritos and you will find him drinking more sparkling beverages than actual water.
